Some people just don’t get the web. No organization would ever publish a pamphlet telling the world, “Please be advised that you are strictly prohibited to discuss our company or to refer to it any way without our prior permission”; anybody who tried that would be laughed at by anybody who noticed.
And yet, on the Internet, organizations do the equivalent all the time: they actually have the audacity to pretend the have the right to tell others who they can link to. This is absurd and would never hold up in court, but that doesn’t stop these fools.
The listings on this page are an attempt to annoy and mock at least a small percentage of the megalomaniacal idiots out there who think they can dictate what others do with their HTML.
Idea stolen with thanks from the defunct, lamented Don’t Link site.
